C-reactive protein point-of-care testing in Belgium: insights for wider adoption

Insights into CRP POCT implementation
A Belgian implementation study evaluated the barriers and facilitators for adopting C-reactive protein (CRP) point-of-care testing (POCT) in primary care for adults with acute cough. Aidian's QuikRead go easy CRP was part of the project and one of the CRP POCT devices used in the study.
The study identified practical, organizational, and economic factors that should be considered before wider adoption, while also highlighting that physicians considered CRP POCT as a valuble tool to support clinical decision-making, patient communication, and antimicrobial stewardship.
