Aidian takes part in the UTI-Diag project

Innovating for better diagnosis of urinary tract infections
We are proud to share our participation in the UTI-Diag project – a collaborative, multisectoral initiative aimed at improving the diagnostics of urinary tract infections (UTIs). The project aims to reduce inappropriate antibiotic use and combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR), while also enhancing access, adoption, and implementation of novel diagnostic tools, especially in low-resource settings. These efforts contribute to a more holistic approach to managing UTIs, support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and promote equitable healthcare access for underrepresented groups such as children, the elderly, pregnant women, and patients with co-morbidities.
Coordinated by Karolinska Institutet and funded by the European Union (EDCTP3) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), UTI-Diag project brings together 11 partner organizations across Europe and Africa to address a growing public health challenge.
Supporting global health equity and innovation in diagnostics is close to our heart. This project is especially meaningful to us – our Uricult® test for UTI diagnostics was launched already back in 1968, and we’re proud to continue contributing to better care today.
