Point-of-care testing goes beyond speed to support patient care

Healthcare systems across Europe are under constant pressure from staff shortages, growing patient volumes, and tighter budgets. A whitepaper by the German diagnostics industry association VDGH highlights point-of-care testing (POCT) as a practical way to ease that pressure by enabling faster, smarter decisions closer to the patient.

When results are available immediately:

  • Physicians can make informed decisions
  • Workflows become simpler and more efficient
  • Targeted diagnostics support responsible antibiotic use
  • Patients benefit from clearer communication and better care experience

At Aidian, we see POCT as a key building block for resilient healthcare systems, supporting reliable results and efficient workflows in everyday clinical practice.
