Aidian Oy acquires Mediphos Medical Supplies B.V. and Mediphos Diagnostics Belux B.V.
On the 20th of February 2021 Aidian Oy, the leading medical device (in vitro diagnostic) provider, signed the agreement to acquire its long-term distribution partner, Mediphos Medical Supplies B.V. and Mediphos Diagnostics Belux B.V. and it will be effective on ultimately 12th of March, 2021.
Mediphos Medical Supplies B.V. is specializing in the import, marketing and distribution of diagnostic tests and instruments for clinical laboratories and doctor's offices in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Mediphos distributes reliable, high-quality products in the Benelux countries from several selected suppliers from all over the world, with a high degree of knowledge and service. Mediphos Medical Supplies B.V. was established in 2000 from the former company Imphos B.V. based in Amersfoort, The Netherlands by Mr. André van der Mark.
"As Aidian's strategic focus is in international growth, both in existing and new markets, this acquisition was a good fit for us", explains Aidian's CEO Juho Himberg. "Mediphos has been distributing our products for over 20 years and we have become close partners. Thus, when we started to look for possibilities of expanding our own local presence into the Benelux, they were the first ones on our mind. Mediphos has a long history in Benelux with strong customer relations and a highly experienced team, that we see great value in", continues Himberg.
The acquisition gives us the opportunity to strengthen the service to our customers. This change in ownership does not affect the customers of Mediphos Medical Supplies B.V. and we will continue business as usual.
