Leader of Product Development

We are looking for a Leader of Product Development to join our R&D organization, who will be responsible for developing products, testing their functionality, and assisting in their production and market introduction.

The person will act as a supervisor for the team, setting the budget and targets for their area of responsibility, recruiting and developing employees’ skills, and managing day-to-day operations in line with the company's strategy and guidelines. She/he will be a member of the R&D management team and report to the Chief Scientific Officer. The role involves directing and developing projects related to product development and lifecycle management of tests, ensuring the progress and achievement of set goals.


You are the person we are looking for if you have a suitable higher education degree in a relevant field and have previous experience in leading product development. You have good knowledge of the lifecycle management and development of medical devices (IVD/MD). 

You are cooperative, broad-minded, and approachable. You have experience as a supervisor and you enjoy taking responsibility for your area of operations. You maintain good communication and teamwork skills even under pressure. Success in this role requires a willingness to work closely with different functions, decision-making ability, and flexibility in changing situations.

We expect you to have:

  • Previous experience in product development management and supervisory roles.
  • A relevant higher education degree (MSc/PhD or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of IVD or MD device lifecycle management, product development, and ISO standards (13485, 14971), IVD directives and regulations, and FDA QSR requirements.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Decision-making ability, and flexibility in changing situations.
  • A proactive and independent work approach, and ability to lead by example.
  • Knowledge of digitalization and AI solutions is considered an advantage.
